Author/Instructor

Carlos Silva works with Method Teacher as a co-author and student guide in the guitar courses.

He has worked with Method Teacher, Inc. to develop the Middle School Guitar 1 and High School Guitar 2 courses.

A native of Lima, Peru, Carlos grew up in Miami and studied in Tallahassee, FL. He has published and recorded musical works for Class Guitar Resources, Inc. and was the facilitator for The Shelter Band, a rock band at the Tallahassee homeless shelter. Carlos has taught middle school Orchestra, elementary music classes, and private lessons at David Hoge Guitar Studio in Tallahassee and Music Compound in Sarasota, FL. He currently teaches Modern Band and Guitar classes at Booker Middle School in Sarasota, FL. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Certificate in World Music, a Bachelor of Music Education, and a Master of Music Education from Florida State University.
